Registered Nurse (RN)

Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a pivotal role in providing skilled nursing care to clients in the comfort of their homes. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to ensure the well-being of clients and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments of clients' health and develop individualized care plans.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

  • Monitor and evaluate clients' medical conditions, symptoms, and vital signs.

  • Educate clients and their families about their health conditions and care plans.

  • Coordinate and communicate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Supervise and support Home Health Aides and other care staff as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and complete client medical records.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and agency policies.

  • Assist in the development of emergency care plans and respond to medical emergencies.

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in client care.

  • Provide wound care, injections, and other skilled nursing services as required.

  • Implement infection control measures to maintain a safe environment.

  • Assess and address the psychosocial needs of clients and provide emotional support.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid state RN license.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Previous nursing experience, preferably in home care or a similar setting.

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

  • Compassion and empathy for clients and their families.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if required).

  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
