Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The CNA will assist clients with personal care, activities of daily living (ADLs), companionship, and safety monitoring while promoting independence and dignity. Services are provided in the client's home under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and agency leadership.
This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy one-on-one care in a home setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including:
Bathing
Dressing
Grooming
Toileting
Mobility and transfers
Provide personal hygiene assistance including oral care and skin care
Assist with ambulation and fall prevention
Monitor and report changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or office staff
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care (laundry, dishes, maintaining a safe environment)
Provide companionship and emotional support
Remind clients to take medications as directed (no medication administration unless permitted by agency policy)
Maintain accurate care notes and documentation
Follow all infection control and safety protocols
Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Required Qualifications
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Georgia
Listed in good standing on the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry
High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum 1 year of caregiving or CNA experience preferred
Ability to pass:
Criminal background check
Drug screening
Reference verification
Current TB screening
Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Reliable transportation
Valid driver's license and auto insurance (if transporting clients)

Preferred Experience
Experience caring for clients with:
Dementia or Alzheimer's
Limited mobility
Chronic illness in children or adults
Post-hospital recovery
Hospice or palliative support
Work Environment
Services are provided in private homes, apartments, or independent living settings. Caregivers must be comfortable working independently while maintaining communication with agency staff.
